It's hard to get people to read in America because if they went to public school they probably don't know how. Truth be known, we have become an ignorant society. The Reagan administration issued the report, "A nation at risk". Succeeding administrations didn't follow up. Thank you Bushes, thank you Clinton, for allowing America to recede into ignorance. And believe me, "No Child Left Behind" is more a problem than a solution. The idiots Bush and Kennedy set out to federalize public education---and look at what they got. Jim
