The Washington Times EDITORIAL: Jim Webb for vice president?
If Obama has the wisdom to pick Jim Webb as his Vice President, he'll probably get my vote. I simply cannot vote for McCain--such a vote would mean I support a historic shift of the GOP to left of center. In the past our two party system has worked reasonably well because one party was positioned right of center and the other left of center. This was certainly true during the Reagan years. With the exception of the war, Bush has moved the GOP left of center and McCain's assention to the Presidency would finish the task of destroying the concept of center-right governance. That would be bad for America. Jim
