I agree with John LeBoutillier. In the interest of full disclosure, I have known John since he was 19 years old. When I first met John, in 1974, John was a sophomore at Harvard. He raised the Thorsness campaign (U.S. Senate, South Dakota, 1974, against McGovern) close to $100,000 from his Harvard dorm room. I was the campaign manager for that campaign. We worked closely then and have stayed in contact ever since. I consider John a good friend. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to bring the GOP back this year. This is a lost election cycle for the Republicans--and it is their own fault. Jim
