Political Diary - WSJ.com

Poor, poor California. The state is addicted to socialism and high taxes. I moved out of California to Nevada nine years ago to avoid socialism and high taxes. Hundreds of thousands of California's most productive citizens have followed me to Nevada and millions to other states. Arizona, Idaho, Utah, New Mexico, Texas, and Oregon are recipients of those who avoided the guard dogs, the barbed wire and escaped that third world country called California. I suspose a lot of people are like me. I first moved to California in the 1970's---I thought I was in heaven. When I left California in 1999 I knew I was leaving hell. This is what happens when a state breeds political correctness and socialism. Let's hope the disease doesn't spread across America. Jim
