Break on Cost Of Textbooks Unlikely Before Last Bell, 2010 - washingtonpost.com

You might consider the rising cost of college textbooks to be trite and not worthy of blog space. I don't think so. Added to the incredible rise of college tuition, the cost of textbooks piles debt upon debt for a middle class college student. It's getting to the point where it is a fair question to ask if it is wise to accumulate over $100,000 in debt for a college degree. My law school tuition at the University of S.D. (1960-1962) was $100 a semester. I spent about the same for books. Today the cost of a year at the USD law school exceeds $20,000. I think there is something inherently wrong with this math. Jim
