Declarations - WSJ.com

Yet another interesting column by Peggy Noonan. I don't agree with some of her conclusions but she is interesting nonetheless. Last night I had dinner with Earl Gould, a man who has made millions understanding the market. Surprising to me, he is somewhat optimistis about the short term and quite pessimistic about the long term. Earl is too polite to say it the way he feels---that we've stumbled because of stupidity and greed. Jim
