The End Of American Capitalism? - washingtonpost.com
Yes--should it come as any surprise this happened on George W. Bush's watch. The Bush administration is a shock demonstration of leadership--and what a lack of leadership means. Bush is a modern day Nero. He is fiddling while the United States burns. He has no vision, is stupid, arrogant, and does not have confidence in capitalism. He installs Hank Sachs at treasury. Hank Sachs, a toady for a secure and greedy Wall Street is systemically dismantling our free market economy using the market crash as an excuse. Neither Obama nor McCain have a clue about what should be done. The bottom line is that America needs strong leadership. We need to pull together the best minds (and they're not in government or on Wall Street) to get us out of this mess. I'm thinking of people like Steve Forbes, Newt Gingrich, Bill Gates plus others to form a brain cartel and pull this proud nation out of despair. Jim
