I really hope this Russian analyst is wrong. It would be tragic. But let's face it---our leadership this last eight years doesn't suggest even an inkling of our problems. Let's pray for Obama. Jim

I think this Russian gentleman is on drugs if he thinks this will happen in 2008 or in the near future with his predicted six nation configueration. If on the other hand his prediction were to have been on a 100 year timeline he would be more credible.
Back in the 1981 a gentleman named Joel Garreau wrote "The Nine Nations of North America," which is much more persuasive. It has its own Wikipedia entry if you take the time to google the title.
And about three years ago Juan Enriques wrote "The Untied States of America," which is also more thoughtful and compelling than our Russian friend.
Both of these books are excellent reading.
