Married to the Mob by Michelle Malkin on National Review Online
If I still lived in CA I would have voted for Prop. 8. Not because I'm anti-gan, I'm not. I believe in civil unions because I think it's unfair that married couples get government benefits and committed gay couples do not. Government should make no distinction with its handouts. But marriage---that's something else. Marriage was designed a religious ceremony--not to determine a secular goal but to determine religious goals. I consider the matter a religious issue---and I believe in freedom of religion. Render unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God which is God's. Marriage is a sacrament, not a right. Jim
