Republicans can win over blacks and hispanics if they try. Most blacks and hispanics are culturally conservative. You don't need to pander open borders garbage or wide open welfare benefits to get their support. You do have to treat them as equals. Most of the GOP outreach to blacks and hispanics has been counter productive. The country club GOP elists look down their proper noses at ethnic minorities and do their best to forget they exist. After all, they'r only around to park their cars at the club. There is a growing educated black and hispanic middle class. They are bankers, computer wizards and engaged in all those professions that are America's success story. It seems to be only the conservative wing of the GOP, also often pushed asside by the country clubbers, who understand how to camapign to minorities. The GOP doesn't need some great plan---just the ability to be human. Jim
