Chicago School Reform Could Be a U.S. Model - washingtonpost.com

Arne Duncan may be the right medicine for our failing public school system. He has first hand experience that reform and innovation begins at the local level. This is unlike the approach of the Nazi system required by "No Child Left Behind". We have poor schools, rich schools, urban schools, suburban schools and rural schools. These are not a monolithe. When all else fails (as did No Child Left Behind) let's try common sense. Jim
