Op-Ed Columnist - Continuity We Can Believe In - NYTimes.com

Why is it that America always seems to carry the burden in lives and wealth when it comes to spreading Democracy around the world? I'm all for the think tanks discussing the positive results. Now it's time for the think tanks to create a more euqitable way for the world to share the costs and risks. America---we're bankrupt. We need to heal our own before we venture out to save a world I'm not sure wants to be saved. Jim
