Op-Ed Columnist - Small Isn’t Beautiful - NYTimes.com

I'm a small government conservative because I have seen at first hand that large bureaucracies don't work and that they conceal those at fault for terrible decisions. How do you find the bad guy when something is reviewed by ten different people? Government has become to big, cumbersome and without the ability to fix something because it is nearly impossible to determine who broke it. On the other hand I do support a public works program to rebuild the infrastructure. Through neglect we have allowed America to have third world roads, bridges and to be without a rail system worthy of its name. I like Bill Kristol, but in this article he is not discerning. Jim
