Las Vegas public schools suck. They're probably no better or worse than most urban schools. The problem is that public education is in the tank. No Child Left Behind is a disaster. I hope Obama can clean up the mess left us by Bush and Kennedy. Urban educators should look to Michelle Rhee (superintendent, Washington, D.C. public schools) as someone who understands excellence. We are creating an ignorant society and we can't afford that luxury. Jim
