Op-Ed Columnist - A Moderate Manifesto - NYTimes.com

I am not a moderate, I am a conservative. I love freedom, I love individuals (not groups). I'm out of the Rush Limbaugh wing of the party. I sure don't agree with everything Rush says, but enough of it to constrast my political philosophy from that of the current crop of political cowards in Congress who call themselves Republicans. I think George W. Bush (to date) is the worst President in the history of the Republic. My political heros are Goldwater, Reagan and Gingrich. I'm part of a bigger group than the media will admit. Obama swings his bat from the left. He's swinging from so far down the third base line that on a foggy day you can't see him. This Brooks article points out the Obama weaknesses. Jim
