The GOP's Alternative Budget - WSJ.com

The GOP's Alternative Budget - WSJ.com

This is an important column. It is the alternative federal budget written by Rep. Paul Ryan (WI) and endorsed by the House Republicans. (It should be noted that the Senate Republicans haven't offered an alternative budget---I suspect they have their priorities right and instead are raising funds for their reelection campaigns). Rep. Ryan is one of the few adults in Congress and his budget stands in sharp contrast with the Obama budget. This budget is one of the few good things the GOP has offered since 2001 (when the idiot Bush took office). I hope the GOP fights for this budget. (I recognize that to fight will take courage which is seriously lacking among Republicans.) But this budget offers hope---hope for a better America and some hope that perhaps the GOP might be struggling to be meaningful again. Jim
