I'm not sure I know anymore what the function of the Republican party is. Yes--there are some adults still in the party. Members like Paul Ryan try for fiscal conservativism but are swept away by someone like Mitch McConnell who is a slave to earmarks. Democrats aggressively pursue their left wing agenda. Republicans act like the cowardly lion in Alice. While I support and admire certain members I have lost all respect for the Republican party. In the last year or so I have taken to calling the GOP the "stupid and chicken shit" party. Like a law of physics, when it's not being stupid it's being chicken shit. Jim.
