I know about Ronald Reagan's love for his ranch first hand. I was his scheduler in the late 1970's and time at that ranch was what he wanted most. Reagan, his friends Barney Barnett (retired CHP officer) and Dennis LeBlanc (an employee of the phone company in Sacramento), together worked that ranch as often as time permitted. Reagan loved the out of doors and the manual labor that went with ranch upkeep. Perhaps this frontier trait was one of the things that so endeared him to ordinary Americans. Jim
