Democracies Can't Compromise on Core Values - WSJ.com
This article is a semesters education in the difference between values in the United States and Europe. The author, Natan Sharansky is a former Russian dissident. His contention is that Europe is becoming more conservative and moving more in the direction of American attitudes toward values. Sharansky is the head of the Adelson Institute in Jerusalem. I suspect the founder of the Adelson Institute is Sheldon Adelson, the owner of casinos in Las Vegas and Macau and the third richest man in America. Sheldon Adelson has just funded a 1 billion dollar private school here in Las Vegas.
