And I would add,"a great party has to stand for something". Part of that goes to educating the public. We must accept we live in a post literate society. College graduates cannot identify where certain states are on the map. Some of those same college graduates don't know or understand the meaning of current events. A great GOP has to educate these people as to why they should be Republicans. Peggy is right---a great Republican has to be inclusive. THAT INCLUDES YOUNG PEOPLE, WHAT'S LEFT OF THE BLUE COLLAR MIDDLE CLASS AND EVEN SOME ONE ISSUE NUTS. The Republican party did its best to exclude Ron Paul during the last Presidential primaries. Libertarians should be be welcomed with open arms. Peggy is right but that includes rightward leaners as well. Why are those masses always left out of Peggy Noonan type articles? Jim
