British Workers Protest Hiring of Foreign Laborers - washingtonpost.com
Why should anyone be surprised by the protests. Let's take it by the numbers: 1. Great Britain is a nation. 2. That nation contains British citizens. 3. Many British citizens are unemployed. 4. British citizens oppose the hiring of foreign citizens. I'd say that's pretty normal. The United States is a nation. The United States contains American citizens. The United States is in a recession. Many Americans are unemployed. American citizens oppose the hiring of foreign citizens in America. I live in Henderson, a suburb of Las Vegas. Las Vegas is in a recession. Many American citizens who are Las Vegas residents have lost their jobs. I believe available jobs should go to American citizens and the foreigners should go home. Why should that be surprising? Jim
